Vita / Lebenslauf:
I was raised in Newmarket, Ontario and graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Fine Art from University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario. At school I excelled in drawing and painting while studying under famed artists Tony Sherman and Margaret Priest. After university I travelled extensively by moving to Europe then, Vancouver, British Columbia returning to Ontario to complete graduate studies in Museum Management and Curatorship.
My love since childhood is painting and drawing. My paintings feature bold colours, pure themes and expression. The vivid and whimsical images are a reflection of her fun personality and need to push the boundaries. My pieces are inspired by German Fauvists, Atlantic Naive and Folk Arts, modern expressionism and abstract movements.
I have had many successful shows in New York, Montreal and Toronto, winning numerous juried shows and competitions. Annually I have up to three solo shows.
My work is represented in private collections across Canada, the United States, Iceland, the United Kingdom and Bermuda.
