1. Born on a surreal day August 13, 1977 (7708130021083) in a small town: Fochville, in the then Transvaal.
2. The name Hannalie is a combination from my two grandmothers' names (Johanna and Elsie) and I kept my paternal surname: Taute, although I am married to a wonderful Carsten husband.
3. I am a healthy, Afrikaans (1st) English (2nd) speaking female with a code 8 driver’s license. (My attempts at German and Xhosa are eyebrow-raising.)
4. Although we moved around like gypsies through my childhood, we finally managed to settle down in George, where I matriculated in 1995 at Outeniqua High School. From there I decided to:
5. Study Fine Art at the P.E Technikon from 1996 and received my National Higher Diploma in Fine Arts in 1999.
