Francois de Verdière
Francois de Verdière, a Dr from Paris, France & Berkeley, California, went through late Arts education at Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh (USA). He lives and works as an artist since 12 years close to Paris, France
He is working as artist in paintings and etchings. As a painter he has explred seascapes, landscape, provencal and desert environments. His style is generally figuration with somme abstraction in it.
He also works on different engraving techniques not so much because of multiple edition, but because it opens new visual effects and ways that drawing or painting techniques cannot bring. He is working on aquatintes, eaux fortes, carborundums, helio and lino engraving.
In 2009 Francois has converted 100% its studio to non toxic engraving techniques and equipments
Francois is responsible of an artists association, Les Seize Anges, which organized Open art 2007, 2009 and 2010 and has been elected General Sercretary of Maison des Artistes the French National Visual Artists organization.
