Claudia Kates Doyle is a native Oklahoman who began formal art training at the age of 14.
She is a past president and founding member of the Oklahoma Society of Impressionists .
She was a member of the Women Artists of the West and a charter member of the Oil
Painters of America. Other associations include Western Academy of Women Artists,
Allied Artists of America and the Board of the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition.
Her work has been exhibited at Philbrook, the Gilcrease Museum, the Cowboy Hall of
Fame, the National Arts Club ( where she won the Lovell Award for painting in the
Catherine Llorilard Wolfe competition), the Spiva Museum, the Leslie Powell Museum,
The Governor’s Gallery, the Museum of the Great Plains and Woolaroc among many
others.
Her work is in the collections of Coopers and Lybrand, Marriot Corporation,
Laureate Corporation, Crowe and Dunlevy, Presbyterian Hospital and Allianz
Center in Dallas and in several Reynolds Foundationprojects.
While she is best known for her Impressionist oil paintings, she also loves abstraction
and experimental mixed media works.
Claudia is the owner of Brushworks Gallery and Studios .
