Statement:
My name s Richard F. Barber, I'm an English Artist living in Hertfordshire England. Arfter

living in China for the past five years I have returned to my native country, with a different

cultural interests. I'm a painter of realism and I'm offering paintings in oils and acrylics on

canvas, but mainly oils. I will be adding new work, in the form of boxed canvases to my site

later on this year as it is finished with some possible watercolours also. I've always tended

to cling to perhaps a vague, idealistic notion that my work is not about monetary gain but

rather living the romance of painting. I wasn't taught that philosophy by any program; it's

been an integral part my identity for as long as I can remember.
