Have you ever had the feeling that you just weren�t quite where you should be in your life? Just weren�t fulfilling your purpose? Ever since I could remember, I knew I wanted to communicate with the world� so� I did. I traveled the world for many years, visiting all continents and spending time with people that resided there; from African huts to jungle peoples, I talked to them all. However, I realized that there was no way for me to touch as many lives as I wanted to in my short lifetime. I worked in entertainment for awhile, appearing on a popular television show, and doing voice-overs for commercials, cartoons, etc. I reached quite a wide media audience, but I was still beside myself in accomplishing my goal of communicating with the world.
A friend invited me over one day to play around with her painting supplies, just for fun. I reluctantly agreed, but by the end of the day the picture I had chosen to paint from looked exactly like my painting�. I was hooked. Today, creating works of art ranging from all medias and subjects, I feel like I can finally relate myself to the world, and the world can see me.
Given that I have travelled the world and have an interest in literally everything, my work really has no single theme, message or medium that I can be known for. I do everything from sculpture to acrylic paints, and subjects ranging from abstract to African to animals! I think the one thing I can be known for and my main message is to "go everywhere, do everything". I may do a series of works with the same subject or medium for about 6-8 pieces in a row, but that's only because it seems galleries like to see a string of cohesive works, rather than a hodgepodge of work, like I am haha.
