Statement:
In times of modern technologies, rapid life dynamics, precisely shaped world esthetics that are on every step imposed to us, my work may seem abstract to you. Nevertheless, if you gather strength to keep your look on a piece of paper that has the results of a just finished card game, before it is thrown into a trash basket, the reality in its most picturesque form will come into your view .
My work iscreated as a result of thinking about interpersonal relationship manifested through the social (public) games. They are monumental compositions whose values are based on the expression of a simplified drawing in function of modern iconography.
On my pictures and drawings mostly there are vertical rows of numbers and tables, underlined lines and sums that are drawn in the zeal of game with quick but clear movements. These elements are notes on papers where defeats, victories or ties of the games were written ( I collect notes from people who play public games). I use them as a starting point (numbers, notches, plus-minus) that symbolizes permanent human need for contrast (good-bad, positive-negative, ugly-beautiful, moral-immoral...). These powerful graphic elements I transfer on white, red, yellow ocher... canvases or papers (cardboard), I magnify certain segments, I write them or inscribe on layer of paint application. They are mostly represented frontally and compressed into a picture format, with this I want to emphasize their beauty and harmony. My idea is to create visually impressive art entirety made of the everyday banal things. On that way I create dynamic paintings with powerful graphic values, that can however be read through the symbolic interpretation, fight for victory, prestige that happens in other fields of everyday life.
Searching for game results where new rules and propositions are established, in us always present, but from us always hidden art existence, in my paintings, using the language of existence, I try to manifest, show the need of man to compete with others and with himself to reveal the world...I am not offering the solution or trying to rearrange the world around me, I am trying to explain it, the way it is, what is it made of. And that recognized image which stays captured in sub consciousness and is not present in everyday visual seeing of world that encircles us, in my work confronts you with the squeezed piece of paper as a document of the moment when reality is materialized.
So I am tireless explorer, activist and analyst of modern society. Through my work I preserve abandoned, I record forgotten, paint the invisible and I say suppressed things.
