Statement:
Today, we have naturally-occured art and forced art, big art and small art and incidental art and lame art and strained art and non-art; and they are all called the same: ART. that's precisely why everybody's fond of this word: since feeding your soul is very fashionable, there is always a reviewer, a curator, a gallery and a publishing house waiting out there to erase the differences and satisfy every single artful ego and every single hungry spirit/stomach.
Art is generous nowadays. And so are its brave connoisseurs who take upon themselves the great risk of sanctifying an artwork with an uncertain intrinsic value. "anything goes" says a cole porter song, constructionists and the art critics living up to the hype. But hey, not anything will stand. We'll have to wait for a dispassionate future to let its tactless experts salute us; ... or let us sink in dirt and disgrace.
