Photographer documenting the metamorphosis of the city and how we live on this Planet through abstract architectural details and surreal urban landscapes
Vita / Lebenslauf:
Documentary photographer based in Hong Kong. Coming from a background in architecture, the obsession with life in megacities enticed him to live around the world, from Sydney to New York, but it was China’s sheer urbanism that grabbed him ever since 2007. His work reflects the influence of his experiences around Asia’s urban landscapes, sometimes abstract and personal, where he seeks an almost surreal silence amidst the chaos, that frozen movement that tells a story. His photography is the result of a hypnotic fascination by how people live and interact with architecture, from the perfectly manicured US middle-class suburb to the sprawling slums of India. Serge has travelled to over 70 countries documenting its culture, people and inner cities, and he’s definitely looking for something. He will know when he finds it.
