Statement:
I have worked on this project since the early eighties. I was using a Sinar 4x5 camera at that time. I am presently finding it hard to get the resources and funds to use the 4x5 camera. So for the time being I have decided to go digital. I am using a digital camera on a vertical copy stand. I have made a prototype motion control neg carrier. It is controled by a CPU. No digital editing software was used to make these shots. All were made from 2D high contrast litho plates.
Vita / Lebenslauf:
I was born in France to Italian parents who moved to Canada in 1955.
I speak 3 languages.
I have worked in the field(s) of photography for at least 35 years
( 1970 - 1995).
I am self taught and learnt everything I know in the field.
I started out using a copy stand( 1970) and wound up specializing in optical printers ( Marron Carrel 1400 and 1600)in 1986 ( see sample).
Now that I will have more time available and would like to resume where I left off in 1988..using special effects with motion control in photoraphy. I would like to blend some old traditional methods with some modern options from the digital world creating a new adaptation to digital imagery, created in the camera and not on the computer.
Aktivitäten / Ausstellungen:
Love to work in carpentry ( making furniture).
I also like to go on day trips on a sea Kayak whenever possible.
